The early weeks of the season can make or break a fantasy team’s season, so it’s important to scour the wire at all times. Maybe a roster spot opened because one of your players became IR-eligible. Maybe you just dropped a fringe player who has been battling injuries and just lost his QB for multiple weeks (cough, Michael Gallup and Dak Prescott, cough). The owners who find long-term fantasy success often anticipate who will be the following week’s top pickups and add them as free agents before having to burn valuable waiver claims or FAAB money....

If you had put all your eggs in the Greg Olsen basket, you might need a backup plan. Julius Thomas (vs. Broncos), Eric Ebron (@ Ravens), Adam Shaneen (vs. 49ers), and Marcedes Lewis (vs. Colts) are your best bets based on the matchups, but many will be tempted to go with Ricky Seals-Jones (vs. Rams), who’s burst onto the scene with three TDs in his first two games. While Seals-Jones and Blaine Gabbert appear to have a good chemistry, the combination of a poor QB and a tough matchup make RSJ tough to trust at this crucial point in the season, especially with so many proven options with good to fair matchups ahead of him in our rankings...
