Watch for signs of readiness: They’re ready to sit down. They’re imitative. They put things where they belong. They have receptive speech.
It sounds great to let kids take their time, but what should parents do about preschool and ballet teachers who won’t take kids in diapers?
Fight ’em. It’s completely insensitive to the individuality of the child.
