Probably not. The only guy in our top 12 who might not have been drafted is Charles Clay, and it’s not as if he’s a “must-play”. His relatively high ranking is due to the Jets’ struggles against TEs last year (8.8 fantasy points per game allowed). Will that carry over to this year? It’s always tough to say when it comes to TE defense, but the Jets still don’t look good on paper, and it’s not as if the guys below him are sure things.
Our rankings certainly take it account last year’s stats, but, again, they only mean so much. Projected targets, particularly in the red zone, and talent level are most important. Only Hunter Henry (@ Broncos) and Eric Ebron (vs. Cardinals) are really dowgraded because of their matchups, but they’re both candidates to score short touchdowns, as are most of the guys on the list.
