While bye weeks are no more, injuries still persist. Week 14 saw Tee Higgins (hamstring), Tyler Boyd (finger), Corey Davis (head), and Deebo Samuel (leg) go down with ailments during game action. Along with those pass-catchers who got banged up during live action, we’ll be keeping an eye on the statuses of Rondale Moore (groin), Cortland Sutton (hamstring), Kadarius Toney (hamstring), Jakobi Meyers (concussion), Brandin Cooks (calf), Nico Collins (foot), Romeo Doubs (ankle), and Treylon Burks (concussion), as all eight wideouts missed their teams’ last games. Cooper Kupp (foot) and Mecole Hardman (abdomen) are also eligible to come off the IR this week, so we’ll have to watch their practice activity, too.
It’s less likely you’ll pivot toward the waiver wire with no teams on bye and fewer teams in your league competing for a championship, but in deeper leagues, Elijah Moore (vs. Lions in Week 15), Jarvis Landry and Rashid Shaheed (vs. Falcons), Parris Campbell and Alec Pierce (@ Vikings), Isaiah McKenzie (vs. Dolphins), Collins and Chris Moore (vs. Chiefs), Richie James Jr. and Isaiah Hodgins (@ Commanders), Terrace Marshall (vs. Steelers), Doubs (vs. Rams), and DeAndre Carter (vs. Titans) are solid matchup-based options this week.
WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS:QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers
Of that group, we favor Campbell, McKenzie, Elijah Moore, James, and Collins or Chris Moore (depending on Collins’ health), as those pass-catchers have the most stable floors in plus matchups. Marshall, Doubs, Pierce, Hodgins, Carter, Landry, and Shaheed as more volatile deeper-league dart throws who could pay dividends if they’re able to make a big play or two, but they should only be used if you’re a big underdog and feel like you need a boom-or-bust option.
WEEK 15 STANDARD RANKINGS:QBs | RBs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers
There’s a chance Marquise Brown (@ Broncos), Adam Thielen (vs. Colts), DJ Chark (@ Jets), Chase Claypool (vs. Eagles), Van Jefferson (@ Packers), and Zay Jones (vs. Cowboys) underwhelm when matched up against some of the better pass defenses in the league Depending on the size of your league and your other options, all could easily be on the wrong side of the start ’em, sit ’em fence, though Brown and Jones have more value in PPR leagues.
WEEK 15 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start ’em, sit ’em
Bubble receivers Christian Watson and Allen Lazard (vs. Rams), Treylon Burks (@ Chargers), Drake London (@ Saints), Donovan Peoples-Jones (vs. Ravens), Michael Gallup (@ Jaguars), George Pickens and Diontae Johnson (vs. Panthers), and Gabriel Davis (vs. Dolphins) have all been inconsistent this year, but they have either favorable or neutral matchups, keeping them in play in most 12-team leagues. We’re a little worried about the QB changes for London, Pickers, and Johnson, but it’s not as if they were playing with All-Pro QBs anyway, so we think they’ll be fine.
WEEK 15 DFS: Best values | Best stacks
Not having any bye weeks can actually make setting your starting lineup a bit more challenging, but with more than enough game data, it’s best to trust those WRs who are close to a sure thing to see several targets, even in standard formats. Touchdowns remain extremely difficult to predict, but if your WR has a plus matchup, a higher TD likelihood is baked into their projections. As usual, it’s all about what you think you’ll need. If you want to go for big points and start a riskier receiver, then that’s fine, but “safe” receivers can just as easily pop for a big gainer or find the end zone.
