The Blue Tigers had achieved one of their best rankings in recent history when they climbed to the 96th spot two months earlier. But they dropped a spot to 97th in the previous month’s edition.
With most teams in action during the international break, even a win against 182nd ranked Macau could not prop India’s ranking up.

India now have 316 rating points, a drop of 25 points from their previous month’s tally. India’s ranking was also hampered by the fact that countries like Estonia (up 14 places), Finland (up 23 places), Iraq (up 14 places) Luxembourg (up 35 places) and Macedonia (up 32 places) made huge leaps forward.
Guatemala are the worst movers in this edition of the rankings, dropping 31 spots to 131st place. The best mover, on the other hand, was Cape Verde Islands, who climbed 47 rungs to reach 67th spot.
Among Asian countries, India are now the 13th highest ranked team in the continent while Iran leads the chart at the 25th spot.
As far as the global scenario is concerned, Germany have regained the top spot from Brazil while Portugal, Argentina, and Belgium complete the top five.
