The friendly match will kick-off at 4:30 PM IST and will take place at Nagoa ground. Goal also understands that the India U-17 team coach Luis Norton de Matos initially wanted the game to be played under floodlights but it was deemed impossible to arrange on such a short notice.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) had invited the likes of Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa and Indonesia to play a game in Bangalore and Goa but the said teams rejected the offer to play India at the last minute.

India are grouped alongside USA, Colombia and Ghana in Group A of the U-17 World Cup and Luis Norton de Matos’ India U-17 side will finally get a chance to test themselves ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup next month.
