Retired: Kalusha Bwalya, one of Africa’s greatest soccer players, hung up his boots last week after a 21-year career. The former Zambian midfielder graced stadiums from Belgium to Mexico to South Korea, where he captained his country’s Olympic squad to a historic 4-0 win over Italy on its way to the quarterfinals of the 1988 Summer Games. Bwalya, 37, will be embarking toward coaching excellence, taking the helm of the Mexican club Potros Marte.
