The final Super Mario Maker 2 update introduces World Maker mode, which allows users to tie multiple courses together on a patch from a starting point on a world map to the end castle.

Players can also customize how the world map looks.

The final Mario Maker 2 update lets players create up to eight worlds with a total of 40 courses that can be combined into one mini Super Mario game that users can create and share with others.

While World Maker is the highlight of this update, there’s plenty more to enjoy, including new enemies to add to your levels. The Koopalings—that’s Larry, Roy, Lemmy, Wendy, Iggy, Morton and Ludwig—can be added to your created course. Each Koopaling has their own movement pattern, so they each add their own unique challenges.

Phanto, the key-chasing specter, and Mechakoopas will also be added to Super Mario Maker 2 with this latest update.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is getting a lot of love in this new update, as the Mushroom from that classic Game Boy title makes its Mario Maker 2 debut. Grabbing this item in a stage will transform Mario and friends into their look from that game. It also allows them to pick up and throw items and enemies.

The Frog Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 is also being added, which allows Mario to swim through the water with ease, and run across its surface. This will certainly open up how users create water levels.

Other power-ups added to the game are the Power Balloon first introduced in the Super Mario World game, the Super Acorn from the New Super Mario Bros. U game and the Boomerang Flower from Super Mario 3D World. There are also five variations for wearables, like the Cannon Box and Propeller Box from the Super Mario 3D World game.

Super Mario Maker 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch.
