CALL TO THE ‘PEN

Kansas City will activate Greg Holland (pectoral) from the disabled list on Wednesday. He’s expected to immediately resume closer duties, but Wade Davis is worth hanging onto because of his sterling peripherals. … Oakland called on Tyler Clippard for a five-out save on Tuesday. He only threw 23 pitches during the outing, but it’s possible he won’t be available if a save situation arises today. Evan Scribner would likely get the call if Clippard can’t go.

WEATHER WATCH

There’s a 75-percent chance of rain in Kansas City for the Indians-Royals and a 46-percent chance of showers in Washington for the Marlins-Nationals.
