CALL TO THE ‘PEN

Andrew Miller picked up his third save of the year for the Yankees, striking out three during 1.1 scoreless innings. Dellin Betances was used for the final out of the seventh and first two outs of the eighth. Manager Joe Girardi isn’t officially naming a closer, but it’s clear Miller is being used in that role. Don’t expect that to change unless Miller gives Girardi a reason to rethink things.

WEATHER WATCH

There’s an 84-percent chance of rain in Kansas City for the A’s-Royals game. The Indians-Twins (54 percent), Orioles-Red Sox (53), and Reds-Cardinals (41) could could also see some showers.
