Disney’s popular mouse gives his likeness to the golden trophy that will be presented to the best player of the event, once it finishes on January 21.
So far only Latin players have won this peculiar prize: Paolo Guerrero (Corinthians) in 2015 and Javier ‘’Chicharito’’ Hernández (Bayer Leverkusen) in 2016.
At a press conference, Jochen Rotthaus, Leverkusen manager, said about the prize: ‘‘When we play a tournament as far as we can, we want to win it. Why not?’’.
