Regardless of what Top 200 rankings or most cheat sheets say, quarterbacks in the early rounds are not out of the question if the value of a touchdown pass remains at six points. The wide receiver madness of this summer can be turned down a notch or two when points are not allocated for every catch. If you want, you can let others jump on the pass-catchers early, as there are plenty to go around....

It’s important to remember that our Top 200 shouldn’t be viewed as a glorified mock draft. Once things get going for real, other factors, such as position scarcity, personal preference, and team makeup can trump pure talent. For example, Aaron Rodgers is our top rated quarterback – and, likely, the top overall scorer in fantasy leagues – but he still falls to No. 29 in our overall rankings because of the premium on wide receivers and running backs....

Case in point, Terrance Williams, Donte Moncrief and other talented yet unproven receivers are quickly moving up the fantasy WR rankings almost by necessity. Should you trust them immediately as No. 2 WRs? False! None of that is true. Actually it might be, I don’t really know, but the point is you shouldn’t ignore the top of the RB rankings on your draft-day cheat sheets. Sure, it seems like there are more injuries and first-round flops than ever, but anyone who’s ever won a fantasy title knows you need RB production. You can find that in a variety of ways, but the same can be said about receiver, tight end and quarterback production....
