The 2020 NFL season begs for both flexibility and a bit of caution when creating your league. As we’ve seen with sports since March, things can change on short notice – canceled games, inactive players, team shutdowns, etc. Whether you’re a high-roller or a beginner, the uncertainty ahead leaves room to approach this season differently than usual. We’re officially at that point in the season where team needs trump all when you’re looking to make a deal. You don’t want to give away a stud wide receiver for a one-week injury fill-in at running back, but if you desperately need an RB to fill out your roster, that might mean “losing” a trade to acquire one. Having a good receiver on your bench doesn’t help you if you’re playing an RB who gets five touches....

We’ve also added a special section at the end that highlights teams with particularly favorable season-opening matchups – at least, what look like a favorable matchup on paper as we sit here in August. Again, things can change quickly, but being able to start the season on a high note and then stream D/STs based on matchups going forward is a good way to save on draft capital and still get a decent amount of points for your defense....

But in the third round of most drafts, you can have only one. Here’s breaking down who’s less likely to let you down: MORE: RB rankings | RB sleepers | Draft prep Morris is your straight-up, old-school thumper. He gives you nothing in the receiving game, but he’s done just fine pounding it all out on the ground. The Redskins plan to ease up on him a little with rookie backup Matt Jones, but Morris should still end up around his usual 275 touches....

5-Star Players DeMarco Murray, RB, Cowboys. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Murray is our No. 2 RB for Week 6. The Redskins rank 31st against the run and have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to RBs. We’ve already seen Murray roll up 200-plus yards once this season, and we could see it again this weekend. Start Murray as an RB1. Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of yards to go around for Bryant too....

The Bills have no shortage of players like that. From rookie receiver Sammy Watkins to second-year players Robert Woods and EJ Manuel to recently acquired running back Bryce Brown, Buffalo is a hot bed of “what ifs.” But we’re not going to talk about any of those guys. Instead, we’re going the other direction and picking a 33-year-old running back who fantasy owners have been trying to write off for the past three seasons....

Manning obliterated the Ravens on Thursday night, throwing for 462 yards and tying the NFL record with seven touchdown passes. That's worth roughly 60 points in a standard fantasy league. Which brings up the inevitable question: Is Peyton Manning going to be the 2013 fantasy MVP? He's certainly got the weapons, as we saw Thursday night.
