Speaking of byes, fantasy owners who rely on Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Matthew Stafford, and Kirk Cousins are relieved to have their QBs back in action. Hopefully, you were able to find a formidable bye-week replacement, keeping your fantasy team afloat. While only the Chiefs and Chargers are idle this week, injuries and disappointments are continuing to cause problems. Per usual, last week’s waiver wire watchlist highlighted a few QBs who can fill in as viable streaming options for Week 8....

The good news is that there are only a couple questionable players in late games this week, so most of your start-sit decisions can be safely made by the time the early-afternoon games kick off. The bad news is that with a killer week of byes upon us, finding sleepers off the waiver wire is tougher than ever if you need a replacement. Here are the latest injury updates, but make sure to check the inactive/active lists before setting your season-long and daily fantasy football lineups ....

But yes, the evidence we have suggests that researchers with financial ties to manufacturers tend to interpret their data more favorably when they’re studying those companies’ products. Kim Drawdy, 30, and his daughter Lauren Drawdy, 9, “succumbed to their injuries” following the incident, which occurred as four hunters were attempting to move deer near Barracada Road in Walterboro, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) confirmed. The department said the incident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The identities of the victims were released by the county coroner’s office, WCSC reported. The case remains under investigation....

The incident took place in the early morning hours on Monday in the Houston-metro neighborhood of Spring. According to deputies, the 24-year-old man, who was reportedly drunk, returned to his parents’ home on Rhodes Road around 2 a.m. local time, local news outlet ABC 13 News reported. Once he entered the home, deputies said he got into an argument with his mother, which escalated to violence as he reportedly attempted to assault her with a liquor bottle he had been holding....

Sedrick Miller, 42, had been walking in Northeast Washington, DC, when the incident occurred, according to police. At the time, he was reportedly carrying his infant child in a car seat and holding hands with his older child, who is 5-years-old. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to local news station WUSA 9 that Miller was the father of the children. Officers responded to the scene at around 8:30 a....

Amid a civil war within the GOP, Republican voters appear to be increasingly frustrated with their political establishment. Former President Donald Trump remains highly popular among Republican voters, as some GOP lawmakers in Washington, D.C. aim to lessen or even eliminate his influence among the party—some even support his impeachment and unlikely conviction in the Senate. In November, 90 percent of Republican voters viewed their party favorably but that number has now declined to just 78 percent, according to a poll published Wednesday by Gallup....

The FDA also said that it has issued a consumer warning that noted products marketed for removing moles and other skin lesions can cause injuries and scarring. “The sale of these products risks public health and may jeopardize consumers’ health when used without consulting a health care professional,” the release said....
