In a statement shared to popular Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the airline said that airport staffers noticed coins on the floor under the engine in an inspection before takeoff. Caleb Ziegelbauer began to feel unwell around five days after visiting a beach in Port Charlotte, Florida on July 1. His parents subsequently took him to hospital where doctors found that the Naegleria fowleri amoeba was likely the cause of his illness.
