According to a January 27 Facebook post, which has been shared more than 32,000 times, the report refers to daily messages that the daycare workers leave in children’s lunchboxes for parents. A witness said that the suspect hit the vehicle in front of him so hard that his car went airborne. According to police, Lopez was able to wriggle one of his hands free in the back of the patrol car after they were cuffed behind his back during the arrest....

The beaten body of Carla Lowe was discovered on November 13, 1983, on the side of a road, according to Delray Beach police. Before her death, she was last seen at an Amtrak station in Delray Beach while waiting for a train, the WPBF reported. Now, 38 years later, the new arrest may begin to provide Lowe’s loved ones some closure. Her sister, Jackie Lowe-Repass, said that the family is “forever indebted” to Lieutenant Mark Woods and Detective Todd Clancy for their work on the case....

Matthew Alexander King, 23, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom, according to a Friday news release from the Department of Justice. Bloom ordered King to serve the sentence consecutive to the 97 month sentence he is currently serving, which he received after being found guilty in a murder-for-hire plot that targeted multiple family members of his estranged wife in 2018. King pleaded guilty to charges of solicitation to murder and retaliation against a federal judge on February 10....

Jonathon Stokes, 26, of Deltona, was detained by police on Monday and charged with one count of sexual cyberharassment, according to inmate records posted online this week by the Volusia County Corrections. The suspect was released after posting a $1,500 bond. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in Naples Circle at roughly 9:15 p.m., where a woman told them her ex-partner had posted sexual videos online without her permission, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported, citing an arrest affidavit filed by the police officers....

Kevin Tuck, 51, and Nathaniel Tuck, 29 were brought up on five charges, including obstructing an official proceeding, aiding and abetting, entering restricted grounds, disorderly conduct inside the Capitol building, and parading or picketing inside an official building. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced last week that the government was pausing distribution of authorized antibody therapies manufactured by Regeneron and Eli Lily, citing recent research that suggests the treatments are not effective against the quickly spreading Omicron variant. The pause did not apply to sotrovimab, the only FDA-authorized antibody treatment that has shown promise against the variant. Before the pause was announced, the government began holding back some supplies of sotrovimab in anticipation of a massive surge in Omicron infections while briefly increasing distribution of the other therapies, according to The Washington Post....

Shirley Rogers, 55, was arrested by Sumter County police after allegedly striking her sister with a Christmas decoration during an early-morning domestic dispute, according to court records obtained by The Smoking Gun. Police arrived at the home in Oxford shortly after 2:30 a.m. Rogers had been arguing with her boyfriend when her sister “attempted to diffuse the situation” but was unsuccessful, the court records said.
