4-Star Players Andrew Luck, QB, Colts. It’s not the easiest matchup; Houston allows 158.3 passing yards per game and doesn’t give up too many big pass plays. Luck will have to be efficient in a 20-yard box, and so far he’s done that. He had less than 200 yards passing in both matchups against the Texans last year, but he also had two TDs in each game. He’ll do enough to be a low-end QB1....

The Chiefs’ stud racked up 1,287 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on a modest 259 carries last season, averaging 5.0 yards a pop. But he also added 70 receptions for 693 yards, both career highs, and scored seven more times through the air. Charles’ versatility is what gives him the edge as the No. 1 fantasy back entering 2014. He’s the perfect fit for coach Andy Reid’s scheme, which favors pass-catching backs like Charles (see LeSean McCoy from 2009-12)....
As always, injuries will have a big impact on some of this week’s start ’em, sit ’em decisions. The important parts of the deals, at least for fantasy owners, are Watkins going to the Rams and Matthews going to Buffalo. Because the Rams and the Bills have new offensive schemes this year, it’s tough to really evaluate how these receivers will fare in their new homes, but obviously that’s not going to stop us from trying.
