The Titans (Randy Bullock), Lions (Michael Badgley), Texans (Ka’imi Fairbairn), and Raiders (Daniel Carlson) are off this week, knocking out one highly owned kicker (Carlson) and one top-10 kicker (Fairbairn). It also takes away one of the best kicker matchups (Texans). There isn’t much to say here other than don’t hold onto a kicker through his bye. Yes, Carlson is great and Fairbairn has been solid this year, but they’re not worth wasting a roster spot on if they’re not playing....

THE ELITE: Top five forwards for this season Here’s how it works: Find two lesser regarded forwards who reliably play up top. Crunch the numbers on when they play home and away. Strikers, like pretty much every outfield player, consistently perform better at their home grounds. This approach requires more work than, say, landing Alexis Sanchez and never looking back. But it can pay dividends all the same. Clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham have a near 100 percent rotation potential (although we think Harry Kane , Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez are likely to be off the board fairly early)....

While we hate to start here, we saw a fair amount of pass-catchers go down with injuries ahead of Week 4, forcing fantasy owners to stay in the loop regarding their statuses for Week 5. Keenan Allen (hamstring), Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle), Michael Thomas (toe), Zay Jones (ankle), and Jakobi Meyers (knee) were unable to go in Week 4, and Treylon Burks (leg) went down mid-game. Throughout the week, we’ll be amending our rankings once news breaks regarding fantasy-relevant WRs playing statuses. While we’re unsure of which WRs will actually start, you’d be wise to start WRs playing against the Bears, Lions, Falcons, Raiders, and Seahawks. Entering Week 17, those five defenses ranked at the bottom of the league in highest EPA/drop-back allowed. Conversely, the Patriots, 49ers, Eagles, Broncos, and Cowboys rank atop the league in the fewest EPA/drop-back allowed, so avoiding WRs playing those teams could be a smart move....

Huge night in the NBA on Wednesday with 11 games on the slate. Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook are clearly the top players tonight. It is hard to fade Westbrook whenever Kevin Durant is out, especially since he has a great matchup as well and Davis has dominated the Thunder this season.
