Heading into Week 2, there are plenty of key injuries to monitor starting with RB JK Dobbins and TE George Kittle, both of whom were inactive last week. In addition to Prescott, Mitchell, and Godwin, who will be out, several more key players, including Tee Higgins, Najee Harris, and Keenan Allen, figure to be “questionable,” at best. The status of all could have big effects on roster decisions, so watch those injury reports....

This week’s set of byes will certainly thin out depth across fantasy leagues, so don’t let this be the barometer by which you judge your teams’ strengths and weaknesses. It’s important to look several weeks into the future when trying to figure out the types of players you’ll need, and matchups remain a key part of the equation. Ultimately, though, you should always be on the hunt for value. If you think you have an overvalued player or you’ve identified a future breakout, start putting together proposals and see if something sticks....

It’s never too early to be thinking ahead and planning for bye weeks or even the fantasy playoffs, right? There is only one quarterback in football with a superior quarterback rating than Mahomes through two games and it’s Ryan Fitzpatrick. So, realistically, how long is that going to last? Mahomes is living up to the “gunslinger” persona he was given coming into the year as he’s thrown for 10 touchdowns and is averaging the second most yards per attempt through the air…behind Fitzpatrick again....

We can’t predict injuries, which will ultimately affect next week’s waiver wire more than anything, but we’ll try to break down the opportunities waiting to happen. The players below all have chances to be popular adds heading into Week 3, and if you can find a place on your roster for them now, do it. There’s no need to hold back in Week 16, and even if you’re solid at TE or D/ST, your opponent might not be. Check out his or her roster and grab a high-upside streamer or two at those key positions just to make their lives a little more difficult. Our full free agent list features potential streamers for every position. Tight end is especially light this week, but D/ST is loaded, and there are even a few QBs and plenty of WR3s....

Of course, when it’s win-or-go-home time, you can’t play it safe, so we have plenty of potential TE and D/ST streamers in our full waiver list. There’s no guarantee these guys are better than what you have, but the matchups are nice and may be what you need to earn the regular season crown or a playoff berth. There probably isn’t a pressing reason to use a top waiver claim this week unless you’re in direct need of an available player, but you can’t take your waiver position with you into the offseason, so don’t be afraid to be aggressive....
