Some leagues don’t have enough roster spots to really take advantage of “stashing players,” but for those in deeper leagues (or those who have players on IR or disappointments worth cutting), our week-ahead watchlist will be useful. Stashing a player or two on your bench when they’re still free agents can pay off majorly if those players have good games. If they don’t, they’re easy drops. Your spot in the waiver order is valuable, and you want to hold it as long as possible....

Week 10 also features a few “last calls” for injured players like Dion Lewis (knee), James Starks (knee), and Ladarius Green (ankle, head), plus a few injury replacements who probably should’ve already been on teams (Peyton Barber, DuJuan Harris). All are featured in our Week 10 rankings and have potential trade value going forward. All in all, we have 28 potential pickups and free agent adds for you to consider, including some bye-week fill-ins at D/ST and TE to go along with potential sleepers for the fantasy playoffs....

Carson Wentz, who was ranked No. 1 heading into this week, is out for the season with a torn ACL, and Josh McCown’s surprisingly solid fantasy season came to a crashing halt after suffering a broken hand. However, three backups in Case Keenum (vs. Bengals), Jimmy Garoppolo (vs. Titans), and the newcomer Nick Foles (@ Giants) are worthy starts this week. On the other side, Brett Hundley goes back to being a backup with the likely return of Aaron Rodgers (@ Panthers)....

Yes, we’re reaching deep into the free agent market for possible fill-ins. With Drew Brees, Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan and Trevor Siemian on bye and Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota dealing with injuries, streamers are needed, and decisions need to be made. The same applies to their receivers and D/STst. Last week, we hit the jackpot on Bilal Powell, Devin Funchess, and the Steelers D/ST, and this week, we believe these sleepers can do just as much damage....

The cautious owners who grabbed Peterson’s handcuff at least could reassure themselves with the performance of Toby Gerhart, who rushed for 89 yards on 15 carries, including a 41-yard touchdown run. Unfortunately, Gerhart sustained a hamstring injury and has not practiced this week. Peterson is very questionable for Sunday, with Gerhart stuck with a similar tag. Reports are the Vikings are more optimistic about Gerhart than Peterson, but that’s not saying much....

The problem for owners is they lack options if they decide to wait. Since Thomas and Reed play Sunday and Monday night games -- and don't have appealing backups -- owners are left with having to decide to play a replacement or gamble that Thomas and Reed will be active for their contests. If they come up empty with the bet, Thomas and Reed owners might end up with a literal zero for their troubles....

Goalkeepers are often overlooked in fantasy EPL, as their typical output and overall top end are rather limited and generally uninspired compared to outfield positions. Although not tremendously productive, owning the right keeper(s) could be the difference on any given game week. There are two schools of thought: You can own a marquee keeper, ideally from one of the top four or five teams, or you can rotate keepers from lesser sides based on their matchups....

All joking aside, Brady’s season is why most fantasy writers will tell you to hold on to guys with name value. Just when you think someone like Brady is washed-up and you drop him for Teddy Bridgewater, he suddenly starts playing like the guy we’re used to seeing. You’re left with a shaky rookie while the guy you just dropped is dropping 327 yards and three TDs every week....
