Since 1915, the team has been known as the Cleveland Indians, but in December it announced it would choose a new name that was “non-Native American based,” as their previous name was seen by many as offensive to Native Americans. The team announced its new name in a video posted to Twitter narrated by actor Tom Hanks who said, “we are all Cleveland Guardians.” In a statement sent to Newsweek, the newly named Guardians said that the team surveyed 40,000 fans and conducted 140 hours of interviews to pick a name across 1,198 different options....

Some comments Harry made about the British press sparked mixed reactions from fans, some of whom agreed that coverage of the royal family can be harsh while others saw contradictions in Harry’s logic considering that he agreed to an interview with Cordon and has another one with Oprah Winfrey scheduled to air on March 7. Cordon treated Harry to a tour of Los Angeles on a double-decker bus for the 17-minute interview, during which Harry touched on his decision to leave royal life for good....

Most of the players listed below will only be considerations in deeper leagues, but some, like Alec Bohm and Ke’Bryan Hayes, will get drafted in shallow leagues, too. They just give you a general sense of how to weigh position/category scarcity and player production. The truth is once a draft starts and the first few rounds finish up, it’s “anything goes” until the end of the draft....

Who’s Not: Pretty much the entire Marlins offense, including Giancarlo Stanton, who saw his homer total drop from 37 to 24. … Former prospect Rob Brantly is going to have to wait longer after his poor campaign with the Marlins signing Jarrod Saltalamacchia. Who’s Hurt: Stanton missed 39 games in ‘12 (knee) and then 46 games last season (hamstring). It’s not fair to call him injury prone, but fantasy owners can’t completely ignore those 85 games missed in two seasons....

Perhaps Tyler Skaggs will break out now that he's out of Arizona and destined for more innings in a pitcher-friendly park. Or maybe Hector Santiago ’s peripherals will improve to make him a more reliable option. There could even be consideration for David Freese having a bounce-back campaign in a new environment. But in the end, sometimes your first thought is your best. And ours was of outfielder Kole Calhoun....

Either way, it’s good to familiarize yourself with players who might be deep down your cheat sheets. Even though they play the least taxing position and generally take their time on the basepaths, first basemen see their fair share of injuries. When one slugger goes down, you need another one. And you never know when someone is going to break out and hit 30-plus homers or take advantage of a bunch of RBI opportunities....

And this year, they're going to need it right away, as projected No. 5 starter Jeremy Hellickson underwent elbow surgery in late-January and will be out until at least mid-May. Enter Jake Odorizzi. He’ll fit nicely in Arizona and will bulk up the middle of the order along with Aaron Hill, who hit just 11 homers last year and struggled to stay healthy....

Heading into 2020, the closer positions appears to be settled for the vast majority of teams. We know that won’t last, as roughly two-thirds of teams change their closer, at least temporarily, at some point every season, but there are just a few teams that have legit open competitions for the ninth-inning job. Again, that could change before opening day because of injuries or bad springs, but even if it doesn’t, it’s important to remember that even some of the “secure” closers are anything but....

We might only be a six weeks into the season, but even small samples can be used when evalutating players. Each week, we’ll highlight a few players worth watching, both for good and bad reasons. We’ll also include a player or two who may be worth targeting if you’re looking to sell the player. Leagues come in all shapes and sizes, but it never hurts to gauge of where you should be valuing player....

Fantasy defense remains a tricky concept. Some owners reach way too early for stud defenses in drafts, while others avoid selecting D/STs entirely and wait for closer to the season to pluck one off the waiver wire. Regardless of where you stand on draft day, starting a solid D/ST each week does indeed matter to the ultimate success of your team. You’ll notice in our rankings that the Bills and Rams, who were both highly ranked in the preseason, sit outside the top 10....

Meanwhile, Chelsea got crucial big games from Eden Hazard and Victor Moses, and Martin Dubravka had one of the greatest goalkeeping debut’s in recent memory. While many Fantasy owners will want to rush out and buy these players, it is probably the better part of valour to hold off for now. With Champions League matches happening midweek and FA Cup taking over at the weekend, plenty could happen before the next Premier League match on 24 February....

Yes, fantasy owners are the poster children for schadenfreude. When someone’s strategies or sleeper picks blow up in his or her face, we get a little too much joy in their failures. Be honest – if Joseph Randle, C.J. Spiller, Joique Bell, Doug Martin and others are on your “Do-Not-Draft List”, you don’t just want them to be mediocre, you want them to fail miserably. In real football the Cowboys’ and Falcons’ quarterback are unfairly treated for their limited playoff success, despite regular-season prowess. In the fake game, that’s carried over to make them underrated despite fine production. LeSean McCoy was one of only two running backs to reach 100 rushing yards in Week 1 – Shane Vereen was the other – while Doug Martin was the only other consensus first-round RB to get 20-plus carries. As a result, two of our experts tabbed Martin as a safe “stud” heading into his Week 2 matchup against the Saints’ weak run D. Another expert went with McCoy, who looked borderline unstoppable in his debut in Chip Kelly’s warp-speed offense....

Meriweather knocked Lacy out with a concussion on a head-to-head hit, and Lacy is out for the game. Lacy not only leaves fantasy owners with that one carry for 10 yards, his status likely will be monitored with care heading into Week 3 at Cincinnati. Keep in mind the Packers have the early Week 4 bye. In the meantime, James Starks isn't going to excite fantasy owners. He's never wowed fantasy owners, and Green Bay's offense will rely heavily on the short passing game to set up deep shots -- if the offensive line holds up....

The injury projections below are littered with players who have let fantasy owners down before, and injuries normally foreshadow more injuries. David Johnson makes the list after having multiple huge early-round letdowns due to injury; Rob Gronkowski’s here after a year off from football; and DeSean Jackson takes the cake of the player projected to miss the most 2020 games due to injury. Note: The following projections all come from the Sports Injury Predictor....
