Tannehill has shown gradual improvement throughout his young career, hitting statistical bests in virtually every category a team – and fantasy owner – could want in 2014. Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers. Despite losing another receiver Sunday (Malcom Floyd), Rivers stayed hot, throwing for 419 yards and three TDs with no turnovers against the Eagles. His stock is rising, along with Eddie Royal, who has five TDs through two games and looks to be Rivers’ go-to receiver. Rivers, who went undrafted in several fantasy leagues, is currently the No. 3 QB in standard formats and looks to be benefitting from the arrival of head coach and QB guru Mike McCoy....

This week’s watch list definitely is lacking in the running back department. I always say, what would we do without Ronald Jones? Apparently the answer is filling our RB section of the watch list with such uninspiring names as Gus Edwards, Mark Walton, and J.D. McKissic. Receivers are definitely where this week’s watch list shines. There are all sorts of playable options in the Week 6 Tua Bowl between the Dolphins and Redskins....

Injuries have been as rampant as ever this season, and it seems to be getting worse each week. The biggest obstacle to fantasy success — especially at this stage of the season — is always depth. You can never have enough skill players, and you should always consider who you will stream if one of your major players goes down. Don’t wait until under-the-radar players go off this weekend or a stud comes off the IR early next week....

The 31-year-old McGahee was actually fairly effective in Denver despite his age and the tread on his tires, rushing for 1,199 yards in 15 games in 2011 with a 4.8 yards-per-carry average. He followed that up with 731 yards in 10 games last season, but he broke his leg and was released after the Broncos drafted Montee Ball. Despite those numbers, don’t bank on that level of success continuing in Cleveland....
