The child, a girl according to local reports, had been hunting for scallops near Grassy Island off of Keaton Beach, Taylor County, when she was bitten by a shark in water around 5 feet deep, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office. On Thursday, James Lenn Williams, of Port St. Lucie was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, battery by strangulation, and two additional counts of battery. Williams was staying at Oceans Edge Resort & Marina on Stock Island with two friends, which comprised of one man and two women. Williams allegedly was pushing one of the women, who was unconscious, in a maintenance barrel toward their hotel room. While pushing her, Williams started throwing beer and insulting her....

Greer, 27, faces several charges, including two counts of leaving the scene of a fatal accident in the deaths of Andrea Fleming, age 6, and Kylie Jones, age 5, in a Monday car crash in Wilton Manors, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At his Wednesday court appearance, authorities had to take Greer away after he reportedly refused to participate in the proceedings. Police arrested John Chess Foster, 50, of Cantonment, a suburb of Pensacola, on Saturday, according to Escambia County Jail records. An unnamed woman called the police to a trailer where she lived with Foster. Citing a police document, ABC 3 WEARTV reported the woman told police a fight over money with Foster had turned violent, and he slapped her across the face, and tried to pin her to a wall....

Florida Highway Patrol said they arrested Antoine Tyrkee McDonald on January 16, as he was trying to evade authorities in the aftermath of a motorcycle crash in Seminole County, according to a report from WFTV. The arrest was not the first time McDonald has been spotted wearing an Easter Bunny costume under unusual circumstances. In April 2019 he was the star of a viral video after being caught on camera brawling on an Orlando sidewalk while wearing the outfit....
