We’re not particularly worried about Brady, ranking him first among QBs this week, but obviously we’ll be watching closely to make sure he’s active....

Segura was going off the board around No. 44 overall on average in Yahoo! leagues, and was selected No. 26 overall by colleague and amigo Matt Lutovsky. By the way, 'amigo' puts me under 'pal', but above 'acquaintance' on Lutovsky's friendship scale. Just fyi. Anyway, the point that you're all aware of is that Jean Segura sucks. He does have 13 stolen bases, but with a .582 OPS -- that's on-base plus slugging, you know, just in case that didn't quite sink in....

This is just a fact. Honestly, fantasy owners shouldn’t be shocked by anything at this point, but what we’ve seen out of Peyton Manning, Rodgers and Luck at various points in the fantasy playoffs has been confusing at best and nauseating at worst. It’s one thing for Jamaal Charles to lay his second egg in a row or Mike Evans to be held in check, but you’re supposed to be able to count on stud quarterbacks....

When we try to identify SP sleepers, we generally look at peripherals and advanced stats like K/9 ratio, BB/9 ratio, HR rate, FIP, BABIP, swinging-strike rate, and more. Wins, ERA, and WHIP are obviously going to be influenced by these, and while the end results might be all that matter in most fantasy leagues, they tend to be more volatile and somewhat luck-based than hitting stats. Wins are impossible to predict from year to year, and ERA can fluctuate wildly based on some poor batted-ball luck, so don’t get too caught up in the standard numbers....

Thomas is available in roughly 47 percent of Yahoo leagues after missing several games because of a hamstring injury. The fact he’s been so heavily dropped is a perfect example of how you can take advantage of opportunities provided by impatient owners. Thomas was a top-seven tight end in all formats last year, and although he wasn’t spectacular early this season, it was a small sample size. Pick him up now and play him right away....
