Jesse Boshears, a 20-year-old college athlete from Arkansas, first fell ill with COVID in the summer of 2021. His health deteriorated to the point where he was admitted to Baptist Hospital in Little Rock at the start of July. Since then, Boshears has endured seven months of critical care equipment including ventilators as he battles severe illness brought on by the virus. There have even been points where doctors have told Boshears’ family that he might not make it through the night, according to local news outlet THV11....

Allison Fluke-Ekren, 42, was arrested by the FBI and transported on Friday from Syria to Virginia to face charges of providing material support to a terrorist organization, the Department of Justice said in a statement Saturday. The bull elk–known to many as Kahuna, Bruno or ‘Incredibull’–had lived in the Colorado park for over a decade and was a favorite among visitors because of his size and beauty. His body was found mauled by a mountain lion by photography groups Good Bull Outdoors and ACS Nature Photography. Officials from the National Park Service (NPS) said the exact cause of death is unknown, CBS4 reported. The elk could have died of old age, and then his body found and eaten by a mountain lion, Kyle Patterson with NPS told CBS4....

Postseason stats don’t necessarily matter for fantasy owners, but Fielder’s .819 OPS from 2013 is a bit concerning. Who’s Hurt: After missing a year due to Tommy John surgery, Neftali Feliz made his return to the mound late last season and should be ready to kick off 2014 at 100 percent....
