Some of fantasy’s biggest studs — Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Justin Jefferson, Dalvin Cook, and Cooper Kupp — will be out of action this week. Your lineups also will be missing Gabe Davis, Dawson Knox, Davin Singletary, DeVonta Smith, Miles Sanders, Dallas Goedert, Tyler Higbee, Kirk Cousins, Adam Thielen, and Irv Smith Jr. – and that’s in addition to all the big injuries (Jonathan Taylor, Darren Waller, Keenan Allen, Damien Harris, JK Dobbins, D’Andre Swift, Pat Freiermuth, Rashod Bateman, and more)....

The good news (or bad, depending how you look at it) is ever team is in action, and aside from Raheem Mostert (knee), Jerry Jeudy (ankle), Michael Gallup (calf), and Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip), there weren’t too many notable injuries last week (that we know of). Most fantasy squad will have their full complement of players at their disposals, so it’s important to evaluate usage and matchups. With all 32 teams in action next week, there are plenty of options for fantasy owners to consider on the waiver wire. Per usual, QB and WR are pretty deep, and there are also some solid matchup-based streamers at the TE and D/ST position. The RB crop is unfortunately weak, so if you need help in that area, you may have to rely on some unappealing options unless you hit on the right handcuff....

Normally, the latter two would be high on the list, but with Jacksonville having a bye next week and Leonard Fournette (ankle) likely returning after that, the urgency just isn’t there. The same can be said for Jacksonville’s receivers (Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee, Dede Westbrook) and the Rams’ receivers (Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods). All of those players could have long-term value and would definitely have value next week when six teams are on bye … if they didn’t have byes themselves....

Roberto Martinez found a way to bring back the young Spaniard Deulofeu, who had impressed in both of their first seasons at Everton (2013-‘14). Last year he struggled for minutes in La Liga while on loan at Sevilla after it seemed he would make the first team at Barcelona for ‘14-‘15. Instead, he failed to land as a starter, and in 17 league matches he scored just one goal and added six assists....

So, it stands to reason that in the dead of winter, some two months before the season starts in Australia (ugh), doing mock drafts passes for a fun exercise among impatient fantasy owners. Week 16 Fantasy FAAB Advice: Waiver wire QB pickups, streamers By Ray Kuhn, Fantasy Alarm Gardner Minshew (PHI). Following the news that Jalen Hurts is dealing with a sprained right shoulder, it would not surprise me to see the Eagles hold their quarterback out for at least one week....

Waivers have been frustrating the past few weeks because there haven’t been any major debilitating injuries to star running backs or wide receivers. We aren’t necessarily cheering for that to happen, but if they don’t, waivers can be pretty boring. As always if you’re not content with what is on the wire in your league, just be patient and wait it out. See who gets dropped and act accordingly. We’re only six weeks into the season, so there will be better weeks for waivers....

Our full free agent list starts with the sure-to-be top pickups of the week – RBs Jonathan Williams, Bo Scarbrough, and Derrius Guice. There are also several TEs worth a look (Jacob Hollister, Ryan Griffin, David Njoku), and they actually have long-term appeal as opposed to just streamer potential (although we have some matchup-based streamers, too). As always, we have several interesting WRs (Deebo Samuel, Randall Cobb, James Washington), a couple fill-in QBs (Jacoby Brissett, Sam Darnold), and plenty of streamer D/STs at the end of the list....
