Marty Magid’s appeal to an arbitrator, to overturn his six-month suspension by the NFL Players Association, was recently denied, and the suspension of his agent certification —his right to represent NFL players—began June 16, the date of the arbitrator’s decision. To his credit, the arbitrator, Roger Kaplan, did overturn the $25,000 fine, according to a release by the union. The decision to uphold the suspension, the release said, was based on Magid’s “insufficient knowledge of the CBA and negligence....

“The allegations against Francis Hughes are chilling and frightening to any parent. A person who, by the nature of his profession, is presumed to be trustworthy allegedly victimized a child,” said acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss in a statement. Hughes and the teen met on the gay hook-up app Grindr around February 16 and then began texting on their personal phone numbers shortly thereafter, according to the FBI. Army authorities discovered Pouncy unresponsive in her barracks room at Fort Bliss on Monday before being pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel a short time later. Graham was also found unresponsive in her room at Fort Bliss before being pronounced dead on December 31, 2020. The study found significant differences in 19 species of gut bacteria in women with fibromyalgia and abnormal blood levels of two substances released by some of those bacteria. Researchers say the more abnormal the microbiome was, the more severe the fibromyalgia symptoms were. Additionally, the microbiome abnormalities could be used to predict the presence of fibromyalgia among study subjects. Fibromyalgia causes not only widespread pain, but fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, and potentially dozens of other symptoms....
