Digging deeper into his splits, you’ll see that he progressively improved each month from October through December in a number of key categories. So, it’s a bit curious why early drafters have been so lukewarm on the former Louisville Cardinal. Bridgewater’s current ADP sits at 127.4, which seems a bit too low when you consider it’s after the likes of Andy Dalton (125), Alex Smith (120.9), Jameis Winston (119.3), and Sam Bradford (119)....
Perhaps it’s not totally insane, though. We have Bell ranked No. 4 among running backs, while he’s ranked No. 1 and No. 5 on ESPN and Yahoo, respectively. Clearly, the experts aren’t being scared off by the suspension, and neither should you. Here are five starting RB values to draft in the middle rounds if you need to cover for Bell in the first two weeks. READ MORE: Updated RB rankings | RB sleepers | Fantasy football cheat sheet...
Few owners like making trades this early in the season. Even when a player does poorly, most still cling to his preseason outlook. It’s tough to get a great deal on a guy who busted in Week 1 (unless he got hurt, in which case you probably don’t want him anyway), and it’s even tougher crafting a fair deal for a guy who balled out. The asking price is almost always too high, as fantasy owners tend to think positive things that happened in Week 1 are a sign of consistent, season-long dominance....
Hopefully you listened to this list last week and picked up Josh Allen ahead of his matchup with the Dolphins. His ownership has risen almost 20 percent since Sunday. We also touted Benny Snell Jr. ahead of his big game in relief of James Conner. Jamison Crowder, Mohamed Sanu and Duke Williams are all more popular than they were a week ago. And, hey: Hunter Henry did what we expected and had a big return with two touchdowns....
We’re not only looking for one-week solutions in our Week 13 waiver wire watchlist but also sneaky value for the fantasy playoffs. The waiver wire is obviously thin at this point, but as injuries mount and concerning matchups arrive, we must prepare for all scenarios. Week 14 will mark the last week with byes, but other factors will inevitably leave you scrambling for alternate options. We know not all leagues have enough roster spots to really take advantage of “stashing players,” but for those in deeper leagues (or those who have players on IR or busts worth cutting), our week-ahead watchlist will be useful....
Last week, we hit on a majority of our picks, including two for three on RBs (Kenyan Drake, Alex Collins) and TEs (Marcedes Lewis, Julius Thomas) and hitting on all three of our defense (Broncos, Raiders, Titans) and WRs (Jermaine Kearse, Dontrelle Inman, Marquise Goodwin). MORE MNF: DraftKings Showdown | Betting preview Is Jordan Howard playing Monday night? UPDATE: Howard is officially OUT. The big issue with Howard (shoulder) has been his clearance for contact. Now that we’re done talking about meat and potatoes, we can get to the …well … meat and potatoes of this column. Yesterday marked the final Sunday of the fantasy regular season in most leagues.
