The dog, which was a blue heeler, was a rescue, and was usually very calm and happy, according to the family. Owners Steven and Michelle Quail and their 18-year-old daughter live in Perth in Western Australia, and had recently got Ace the dog neutered. Harry Vroulis suffered a heart attack at around the 16-mile mark near the western Houston suburb of Tanglewood. As per ABC13, the 74-year-old was helped by a couple who stopped after they saw him collapsing. The woman tried to comfort Vroulis and called 911. According to Houston-based NBC-affiliate KPRC, the woman is called Diane McMaster and came across Vroulis not far from her house. “Today I held a dying man’s hand,” she wrote to KPRC....

On July 7 Salvatore Anello, known as Sam, lifted up his 18-month-old granddaughter Chloe Wiegand to a window on the Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas while it was docked in Puerto Rico. The family has previously said that this was because the toddler liked to bang on glass, a habit from watching her brother play in ice hockey games. Her parents, Alan Wiegand and Kimberly Schultz Wiegand, of South Bend, Indiana, said Anello did not know the window was open....

At the memorial service, which was held at the Chapel of Christian Faith in Lady Lake, visitors were greeted by a portrait of Melinda and Trenton before the pulpit. Tyler Redondo, who was just three months old, died as a result of COVID complications in February resulting in heartbreak for the family from the city of Rancho Cordova, California. As usual, there’s no shortage of sluggers at first, and there’s not a lot of steals. Paul Goldschmidt was the only guy who topped 10 SBs last year, so this remains a three- or four-category position. Of course, you can get elite production in those three categories, so first is the type of position where guys are just as likely to come off the board early as they are at any other point in the draft....

Fortunately, the good people at Fantasy Pros have let us use their preseason position-by-position and overall dollar values. Use these as a guide (but not gospel) when heading into your auctions. It’s important to remember players could go for dramatically difference prices depending on when they’re nominated or if there’s just one overexuberant bidder in your league. Still, this should help you recognize players who are being undervalued or overvalued, and that should help you navigate your auction as it unfolds....

FULL SP RANKINGS UP: Masahiro Tanaka, Yankees (#11). Tanaka has been better than advertised in his first month of big league action, posting a 2.27 ERA and 0.93 WHIP to go with a surprisingly high 11.6 K/9 through five starts. There’s bound to be some regression as hitters get a look at Tanaka, but he’s clearly the real deal. DOWN: Shelby Miller, Cardinals (#48). This isn’t just a slow start for Miller; his struggles trace back to late last season....

Perhaps more than any other position, the idea of tiering off players by type of production as opposed to overall production is most important with outfielders. That’s been a common theme throughout our rankings, but the sheer amount of outfielders makes it ring truer. So, when talking about OFs, we’ll focus on the top half or so of the rankings. After that, it’s kind of a free-for-all depending on your needs and willingness to trust injured/unproven/platoon players....

Sure, you might not need to be armed with 3B sleepers heading into your draft, but it never hurts, especially when you factor in that 3Bs – not necessarily 1Bs or OFs – can easily function as corner infielders and utilities in this brave new fantasy world. The list below features a couple players who could be drafted among the third base “starters” on draft day, but we didn’t even include the likes of Javier Baez or Alex Bregman....

Aside from the top tier, our OF tiers cast a pretty wide net. It’s not because we’re lazy (well, not entirely); it’s because there are so many similar players in terms of production and upside. We all know there will be surprise breakouts and disappointments every season, and with so many OFs available, we don’t want owners to overdraft a guy in a higher tier when the difference between him and someone else is razor thin....
